Workshop Brief:

I have a premise. Just the way teachers hold the key to the progress of our nation; trainers hold the key to an organization’s profitability. It’s not immediately apparent, but if you look closely, you’d see that the threads of training run deep, and they reach every corner of an organization; these threads are actually the arteries that rejuvenate and motivate the employees to work towards making an organization successful and profitable.

Instructional Design is the potion that could make the trainers of an organization stand out of the crowd and find their rightful position as the prime movers. My experience has taught me that trainers can weave magic into their training programs with the knowledge of instructional design, provided the knowledge is imparted to them by exposing its direct application to their work and enabling them to establish the right connections.

Once this is done, trainers, by virtue of their maturity can take this knowledge further and beyond – but to achieve this, to ensure that the concepts enter their schema and are retained, the ID knowledge has to be imparted differently. It has to be tuned in to the requirements of a mature and confident learner who has a substantial repository of personal experiences with training and learning.

This workshop will illustrate the importance and the application of instructional design to the trainers and the senior professionals from the Learning and Development stream, and it will enable them to map it to their personal growth and career choices.
